Lady Liberty- A Symbol of Hope, Freedom, and the Durability of Copper?

The Statue of Liberty has been a symbol of hope and freedom to citizens of the United States for over 100 years. Little do most people know, however, that Lady Liberty also represents the durability of copper materials. Since she was given to the United States in 1886, her copper skin has weathered only 0.005 of an inch. I hope all of us are doing that well at age 127!
